This time, the Great Witch has brought the magic segment of the Elegant series: Elegant Spells. It is an RPG adventure mod, currently in its initial version. After the upcoming first-phase update, the number of spells will see a significant increase. At present, there are roughly 12 types of spells, various recipes, as well as adventure elements like a mana bar and ruins. Among these, the crafting section is particularly flashy. Are you ready to become an apprentice of the Great Witch! 😊

The main gameplay of Elegant Spells revolves around RPG adventures and multi-school classes, with flashy and gorgeous magic as well as crafting tables being the mod's distinctive features.

The mod includes various player animations, rituals, model animations, and more.

The author notes that the current version (uploaded on July 27, 2025) is in the release testing phase. Due to the "features" of MCreator, the mod has some instability, but the author states that most issues with this mod creator have been largely avoided.

Currently, the mod has at least 12 types of spells and 6 types of crafting tables, and the author has announced plans to continue adding a large number of new magic types and weapons.

How to Start?

In any such mod, there must be an initial craftable item. The initial craftable item of this mod is: Universal Magic. It can be obtained by right-clicking in the Stargazer to empty the mana bar, and it is also the essential basic material for crafting any item in this mod:

After that, you need to craft a Potion Cauldron to refine items and crafting materials within the mod;

Once the Potion Cauldron is crafted, you need to make a Scripting Table and a Mana Scripting Table to craft Tomes of Scrolls and Spell Scrolls.

Scripting Table: Used to craft Tomes of Scrolls. It requires 5 refined materials, a bottle of scripting ink of a specified level, and blank scrolls. The key material is runes. For example, 3 Level 1 runes and 2 refined materials are needed to craft the Firebolt Tome.

Mana Scripting Table: Used to copy a tome into a spell scroll for casting. It is powered by a bottle of Mana Ink, a Mana Quill, and a magical blank scroll.

If possible, next you need to craft a set of Mana Armor, which requires a Magic Sewing Machine, a Mana Clothes Hanger, and a Spinning Wheel to participate in the crafting process.

Magic Sewing Machine: Used to craft various types of Mana Cloth, which is used for sewing and repairing clothes (the repair function is implemented in the Phase 2 version).

Mana Clothes Hanger: Used to craft Mana Armor. It requires adding a set of clothing blanks to the base part and a set of Mana Cloth to the material part for crafting magical equipment.

Spinning Wheel: Used to craft linen cloth and some basic fabrics. Linen cloth is the most basic fabric unit, used to craft better Mana Cloth, and is also an essential item for crafting clothing blanks.

Next, you should explore the Overworld, where you will find some in-mod ruins (you need to install Elegant Architecture and Elegant Countryside to properly display NBT structures). These ruins may contain loot chests, which may drop some interesting equipment and items...
