A Fabric mod that reinvents alchemy in Minecraft.

New potions, effects, alchemical stones, imbued weapons, and immersive mechanics — alchemy becomes strategic, expanding far beyond simple brewing.


🧭 Overview

The Alchemist is no longer just a potion brewer,
but a craftsman capable of shaping matter, life, and death.
Explore a complex potion system where every ingredient has meaning,
and your creations can change the world… literally.

Main Features

  • 30+ new potions with unique gameplay effects.
  • New status effects.
  • Alternative recipes for some potions.
  • Alchemical Stones: apply effects to the terrain.
  • Imbued Weapons: apply a potion effect for a number of hits based on the effect’s duration.
  • Potion-infused food: consuming the food directly applies the effect.
  • Stackable potions up to 16 units, with an internal cooldown.

Early Game Potions

  • Two new toxic crops: the Poisoned Carrot and Poisoned Beetroot, rare variants of their edible counterparts.
  • Lava buckets can now fuel brewing stands, though they provide much less fuel than blaze powder.
  • The Alchemist’s Core, a powerful craftable item, acts as a substitute for Nether Wart in brewing — though it’s much harder to obtain.

🔥 Fire Resistance – Can now be brewed with a Magma Block and a Magma Cream


🍎 Regeneration – Can now be brewed with a Golden Apple and a Ghast Tear


💪 Strength – Can now be brewed with a Firework Star and Blaze Powder

Long Leg No Beneficial Lets you step over higher blocks without jumping.
Liquid Walker No Neutral Allows walking on water and lava.
Ore Sense No Beneficial Highlights nearby ores.
Resonance No Neutral Spreads active effects to nearby entities.
Reactivation No Beneficial Reactivates expired effects on the player when drinking a new potion.
Purification No Beneficial Removes all negative effects currently applied.
Petrification No Harmful Immobilizes the target and makes them invulnerable.
Acid No Harmful Deals continuous damage.
Ignition No Harmful Set the entity on fire.
Teleportation Yes Neutral Instantly teleports the player to a new position depending on the amplifier.
Thorns No Beneficial Reflects part of the damage taken back to the attacker.
Brain Washing No Harmful Disorients living entities and alters their behavior (Reduces villagers prices and disable mob attack).
Frost No Harmful Slows movement and deals frost damage.
Alchemist No Beneficial Turn coal into gold.
Death Yes Harmful Instantly kills the target (only deal 50% of a boss max health).
Saturation No Beneficial Slowly reduces the player’s exhaustion over time, making their hunger decrease much more slowly.
Double Health Yes Beneficial This effect instantly grants the target a large amount of absorption hearts—effectively doubling their health for a long duration.
Resurrection Yes Beneficial Saves the player from death, like a Totem of Undying.
Infinity Yes Beneficial Makes certain effects permanent at the cost of max health.
Long Cooldown No Harmful Increases the delay between potion uses.
Short Cooldown No Beneficial Reduces the delay between potion uses.
Masking Yes Neutral Hides visible effects on an item or entity.
Unstable Yes Neutral Causes unpredictable or unstable reactions.
Vampirism No Beneficial Restores health on successful attacks.
Stun No Harmful Briefly immobilizes the target.
No Interaction No Harmful Prevents all block or entity interaction.
Aftermath No Neutral Kill the entity when the effect ends if their health is below 50% of their maximum health.
Berserk No Neutral Greatly increases speed, strength and making you unkillable during the effect — but once it ends, you’ll face the Aftermath.
Ghost Walk No Beneficial Allows walking through certain blocks temporarily.
Giant No Beneficial Enlarges the player.
Dwarf No Neutral Shrinks the player.
Photosynthesis No Beneficial Regenerates nutrition under sunlight.

🪨 Special Items

Alchemical Stones

Items capable of storing potion essences and applying the effect to the terrain (e.g. acidification, petrification…).

Resurrection Grant the resurrection effect, when the effect save you from death, you teleport back to the spot. All Resurrection Potion
Imbued Weapons

Weapons can be charged with a potion effect.
Each effect lasts for a number of hits based on the potion’s duration, with a minimum of 10 hits.

Syringes
  • Allow collecting blood by using them or hitting entities.
  • Can store an entity’s effects or inject them into another.
Ingredients
  • Blood Bag: stores collected blood (different blood types exist).
  • Alchemist Core: replaces Nether Wart in recipes, rarer.
  • Witch’s Finger, Zombie Brain, Claw, Leaf

  • Access a configuration menu directly from ModMenu.
  • Allows enabling/disabling each potion individually.

  • Updates will cover the two latest Minecraft versions; if you want an older version updated, contact me by email.
  • Smoke entities: entering them grants potion effects.
  • More potions & new alchemical interactions.
  • Balance adjustments for late-game effects.
  • Craftable alchemical golems as guardians.
  • Special alchemist tools (e.g. handmade bombs).
  • Ground runes & transmutation circles (chalk/blood/stone).
  • Stronger potions like elixirs with unique ingredients.
  • Summoning homunculi (unstable artificial beings with unique powers).

A smarter and more immersive way to craft and use potions in Minecraft.
