Overview
Deep Underground adds a simple 256-block tall mining dimension. It has three biomes: Deep Cave, Deep Dripstone Cave and Frozen Cave. The dimension has boosted ore generation rates, boosted mob spawn rates and has three unique stone types: Black Granite, Grimslate, and Schist.
The dimension is very dark, and coal doesn't generate. However, additional ores and structures can easily be added with external datapacks.
When mining deeper down into the dimension, Viridium and Cerulium can be found, which can be crafted into armor and tools. Cerulium can also be used to make Depthbound Steel which is obtained by leaving an inert depthbound block below Y=24 in the dimension.
A work-in-progress gem, Red Onyx, can be found in piglin bastion chests and crafted into a decorative block.
Compatibility
The mod has biome icons for compatibility with EMI Ores and Continuity support for the framed polished blackstone block. A future update will add proper biome tags.
Can I Use This in a Modpack?
Yes! I actually created this mod for use in a modpack after discovering there wasn't already a similar mod on this version.
