Changes:

  • Overhauled world gen to use Vanilla w/ Better Trees instead of Ecospherical Expansion
    • This lends huge world gen performance increases while still looking and playing great
  • Greatly increased leaf decay speed

  • Players now always spawn in a Flower Forest biome when creating a new world

  • Added the Night World
    • The Night World is an extremely difficult version of the Overworld that is always night
    • Access the Night World by using a Crying Obsidian portal
  • Added Origins Minus
    • Currently 4 Origins are available, more will likely be added in the future. The four are:
      • Wildling - Super jump, speed boost, fall damage resistance
      • Mer - Fast swimming, clear vision under water, ability to collect and eat Seagrass
      • Hellspawn - Immunity to fire and lava, can swim and see farther in lava, ignites entities on bare hand attack
      • Voidthing - Blink ability (middle click by default), extended reach (does not apply to weapons)
      • No Origin - No effect
  • Overhauled death
    • Dying now starts a countdown to respawning
    • Dying now only results in a random percentage of your items being taken, unless they are Soulbound
    • Dying now results in some of the player's XP being taken
  • Overhauled difficulty
    • Bosses are now significantly more difficult
    • Some enemies are now significantly more difficult, but scale based on what dimension they most commonly appear in
    • Melee weapon range improved across the board for shorter-range weapons
    • Player move speed increased while swinging melee weapons
    • Melee attack hitboxes now come out 50% faster
      • These changes should ensure more melee weapons are viable, rather than the longest-range ones just being objectively the best
  • Added Balanced Recall
    • Adds magic mirror, allowing a quick teleport back to your spawn point
  • Added a health gate mechanic, so if the player is above 12 hp they cannot die to to most damage that would otherwise be lethal, and will always survive on at least 1 hp. This also applies to fall damage.
    • Some magic attacks, such as Mine Cells boss boundaries, can bypass this.
  • The Nether has been COMPLETELY reworked:
    • Removed BetterNether
    • Removed Amplified Nether
    • Added Jaden's Nether Expansion
    • Added Nether Floating Islands
      • Falling in the void in the Nether teleports the player to y=350
      • Fall damage from this teleport is capped at 19
    • Added more nether structures
    • Added basic nether ores
  • Falling in the Void in The End now teleports the player to the Overworld sky
  • Falling out of the Overworld void (if you glitch your way out) now teleports the player back to y=350
  • Added Galosphere
    • Adds a new boss
    • Adds Cave biomes
    • Adds tons of fun new tech items and blocks
  • Added Ender Zoology
    • Adds many new hostile mobs and items
    • Adds an enchantment that can be used to preserve items on death
  • Added Jaiz Mobs
    • Adds many new mobs and items
  • Added Faunus
  • Added Ribbits
  • Added new Tome options for Archers
    • Removed bugged bows that did not work with Archer skills or passives
    • Endermen (all types) can now be hit by projectiles
      • This should help make Archers more viable in the late game when traversing The End
    • Removed need to have at least 1 arrow to use infinity
    • Infinity and mending can now be used on the same bow
  • Added Tridents 'n' Stuff
  • Added back missing spear items from Archers
    • There are now 3 spear-like basic weapon sets with different properties and names
  • Added Scarves (unlockable as a reward for beating bosses)
  • Added Torches in Water
  • Added ChatPlus and all its amazing features such as
    • Resizable & movable chat
    • Bookmarking messages
    • Translating messages
    • Auto-translate message on send
  • Player HUD bars now use AsteorBar
    • This makes large health values more easily legible
  • Enemy health bars and damage numbers now use Provi's Health Bars
    • Enemies will now always have a health bar above their heads
    • Passive mobs will have a health bar when hovered, or when they are missing health
    • Centered HUD health bar (Health Indicator TXF) has been removed
  • Fixed HUD transparency issues that caused overlapping elements to cut each other off abruptly
  • Changed Xaero's Minimap for Voxelmap (simpler, balanced cave scouting, more performant, no buttons for mods that aren't installed)
  • Added Convenient mobGriefing (thanks to Nic_Knack819 on Twitch for the suggestion)
  • Added Keymap, with keybind [ ` ] by default
  • Adjusted default sorting to be done by creative tab order
  • Adjusted item moving animation to be more bouncy and fun
  • Added option to quick stack to / restock from nearby containers
  • Replaced Trinkets with Accessories + Trinkets compat addon
    • Trinket menu is opened with [h] by default
  • Added some useful commands for technical players ( /changedimension and /wits )
  • Adjusted fog rendering to be more consistent across dimensions, biomes, and underwater
  • Added Oooze and blood effects
  • Added Better Clouds
  • Added BiomeParticleWeather
  • Added Vanilla Evolved resource pack
  • Added and adjusted ModernUI
  • Added many particle effects and animations to blocks, items, and actions
  • Adjusted pre-loading screen to use custom assets
  • Adjusted enemy movement speed to work additively instead of multiplicatively based on zone difficulty
    • This will prevent things like super duper fast zombies from spawning
  • Adjusted default roll cooldown to 3 (was 4)
  • Adjusted roll invulnerability ticks to 10 (was 0)
  • Added Drop Spread
    • Items dropped from mobs or players now stay in the same place
  • Adjusted default camera angle of Shoulder Surfing
  • Added the ability to look at yourself with f4 (perspective mod)
  • Added Camera Overhaul + Adjusted to remove rendering bugs
  • Added the ability to toggle first-person model mode with f6
  • Added back normal camera controls to f7
  • Adjusted default video settings to be more sensible
  • Adjusted several default keybinds
  • Holding shift no longer scrolls tooltips from left to right (should fix tooltips with expandable descriptions being cut off at the top of the screen)
  • Dynamic Crosshair is now always visible by default
  • Adjusted darkness levels (without shaders)
    • Bright things are now brighter, dark things are now darker
  • Removed baby zombies (they can no longer spawn at all according to my testing)
  • Removed Starter Kit
  • Removed Invocations (did not fit visual style and was confusing)
  • Removed Rogues & Warriors (did not feel satisfying to play with)
  • Removed Clutter (incompatibilities)
  • Removed Fall pack (visually inconsistent)
  • Removed/replaced many mods that had minimal impact on gameplay to help improve load times and performance
  • Replaced IPN with Mouse Wheelie for sorting ([s] by default)
  • Removed several aesthetic mods associated with persistent audio/visual bugs or strange behavior (ex. Sound Physics)
