This is for Minecraft versions with a resource pack format of 7, including releases 1.17–1.17.1 and snapshots 21w08a–21w38a.
There are earlier snapshots with a resource pack format of 7; however, the pack would be pointless on those snapshots because all of them predate the change from Grimstone to Deepslate,with some of them predating the implementation of Deepslate Grimstone entirely.
