The sound of rain is a mod that is focused on realistic material based sounds, instead of the generic default minecraft rain. unique audio will play when near the following blocks:

• Amesthyst✨
• Metals🔩
• Foliage (plants or leaves)🍃
• Fabrics🧶
• Glass 🪟
• Or add your own blocks via configuration:)
• With more comming!

Perfect for: Building atmospheric bases and structures, creating immersive gameplay experiences, adding depth to rainy day exploration, builders who want realistic audio feedback from their material choices, or whatever you do in Minecraft. Inspired by Cool rain from JaizYT for Fabric.

Installation:

Currently in forge 1.20.1/1.20.4, soon more ports will come. make sure forge 1.20.1/1.20.4 is installed, then add it to the mods folder, then start minecraft, then start the rain, then listen...

This mod is for client side, only the player needs it

Unimportant info

I was playing on my modpack of 135 mods, but something was missing, it was untouched by anything: The weather. So i had to change it somehow. I really enjoyed making this and i want to improve on it. If you like my work you can buy me a coffee:
