For MC 1.21.1, NeoForge
Having a passion for the Ranger series of games, I've created a side mod for the Pixelmon Reforged mod.
This mod adds Gigaremo units to the game, and a custom Flood Move Skill.
When activated, Gigaremo units run a silent command that detects any Pixelmon entering within a 24 block radius, and sets them to have maximum aggression. This means that any Pixelmon that have been in range of a Gigaremo's effect will actively hunt down survival mode players to engage in combat. Config settings are also available to change the effect range to as small as 10 blocks, or as large as 60, and Pixelmon can also be set to emit particles when affected (off by default)
Gigaremo units come in four different colours, and can all be crafted with their corresponding Concrete and Elemental Evolution Stone.
When placed by players, the Gigaremo will be in an inactive state. Gigaremo can be activated by using Black Tumblestone on them, and when activated will feature an animated model.
Before they are activated, Gigaremo can be broken with a pickaxe to drop themselves. However, once activated, Gigaremo will no longer drop themselves and will instead drop a Broken Gigaremo when broken with a pickaxe. Additionally, Activated Gigaremo take a long time to break with a pickaxe, as the intention is that they be broken by Move Skills (which break them instantly).
- Blue Gigaremo can be broken using the Lightning Bolt Move Skill.
- Green Gigaremo can be broken by the Ignite Move Skill.
- Yellow Gigaremo can be broken by the Rock Smash Move Skill.
- Red Gigaremo can be broken by the Flood Move Skill, introduced in this mod.
The Flood Move Skill is usable by any Pixelmon knowing any appropriate water attack (hydro pump, water gun, water sport, etc). This move creates a water source block at the target location, and can waterlog blocks and fill cauldrons. In the Nether, this move skill produces unique results.
This mod requires the Pixelmon Reforged mod for full functionality, however if you do not have Pixelmon this mod will still load (although commands, block state changes, and the custom Move Skill will not work)
Known Issues
- Destruction of Gigaremo through methods other than Move Skills award points to the nearest player, not necessarily the player who caused the destruction.
- The icon for the Flood move skill is a placeholder.
- I know the models are a little ugly, I am focusing on functionality.
Future Plans
- Add Ranger NPC's who will trade you items based on the amount of Ranger Points you accumulate.
- Having active Gigaremo spawn in the world during worldgen is being worked on, as are gym style villain team encounters.
