Cauldron++
Cauldron++ is a mod which implements b1.9-pre2 brewing system back into modern Minecraft.
Features
New block: Cauldron(Legacy)
- Can hold water, lava, potion, colored water(for dyeing leather armors) and powder snow(only 1.16+)
- Cauldron with lava will emits light level 15 and hurt player inside.
- Cauldron with snow will freeze player inside.
- You can brew potion by placing water in the cauldron first, and right click the cauldron with brewing materials.
- Using different material with water/potion cauldron can brew different potions or change potion type.
- Available brewing material(originally in b1.9p2): Nether wart, Blaze powder, Spider eye, Fermented spider eye, Ghast tear, Sugar, Magma cream
- Available brewing material(added by this mod): Phantom membrane, Glowstone dust, Redstone dust, Slime ball, Chorus fruit, Golden carrot, Rabbit foot, Golden melon(converting to normal potion), Gunpowder(converting to splash potion), Dragon breath(converting to lingering potion).
- Right click with glass bottle on water/potion cauldron to get water bottle/potion.
- Right click with arrows more than 16 on potion cauldron to get tipped arrow, one level of potion can give you 16 tipped arrows(Not implemented in 1.7.10 yet!).
- Cauldron with colored water works basically same with Bedrock edition cauldrons.
- Other features(e.g. interaction with dripstone, behavior in rain/snow) work basically same with vanilla cauldrons.
New item: Potion, Splash potion, Lingering potion(1.16+), Tipped arrow(1.16+)
- Can stack up to 64.
- Other features works the same as vanilla.
New item: Water bottle
- Can stack up to 64.
- Cannot use in vanilla brewing stands.
- Now right clicking on water will get this item instead of the vanilla water bottle.
Q&A
Q: Why make this mod?
A: I just thought this system is interesting, so i made it to bring it back.
Q: Will there be other versions?
A: Currently only planning on Fabric 1.16.5 cuz mojang updated too fast(maybe wait till 1.22?)
