Main features and fixes:

  • Fixed DynamX crashing on first start, failing to download its dependencies

  • Add .gltf model support. The support of animations will come in a future update.

  • Add engine, sound, steering wheel, propeller blades and doors support on boats.

  • Add seats and storage support on blocks and props.

  • Add reverse, handbrake and door sounds options.

  • Add parts inheritance system: lights and license plates can be placed on moving parts like doors or hoods.

  • Add automatic part positioning from 3D model (Position of parts like the steering wheel is read from the 3D model if not set in the vehicle config. Rotation can be automatic too on gltf models only).

  • Support Transparency on blocks, items and armors.

  • Add BreakHardness, ExplosionResistance, SoundType, HarvestTool and HarvestLevel properties on blocks.

  • Fix pack sync feature (can be enabled in server's dynamxmod config file)

  • Fix missing RenderDistanceSquared implementation for entities

Graphics/rendering:

The obj loader was rewritten using vbos to render the obj models, resulting in better performances

New features:

  • Obj loader : added support for specular and normal maps
  • Added transparency support on obj models
  • Added ambient color support to objs (Map_Ka in .mtl files)
  • Quicker model loading time
  • Graphics engine optimization: use vbos to render the obj models
  • Added external obj assets loading support: "yourmodid:model.obj"

Fixes:

  • Fix big entities rendering (they were disappearing when far from the center of the entity)

  • Allow to pick vehicle and prop items on entities
  • Fixed udp time-out error message, and add a "connecting to server" message

  • Fixed many crashes
  • Fixed save of entities rotation when quitting the world
  • Limit the number of player sounds at the same time to the 8 neatests (configurable value in the mod's config)
