Version 1.21.5-r8:

  • tridents and maces now universally have a charge time of 1 second and can be interrupted
  • tridents now play a ping sound when they're ready to launch
  • tridents now return to the slot they were thrown from
  • all mace enchantments now have a cooldown of 3 seconds that starts once you touch the ground
  • enchanted books now stack to 16
  • bundles now display the enchantments on enchanted books
  • perception now gives mobs bigger attack/follow range
  • strafe no longer gives antigravity when used on the ground
  • buoy now prevents magma block damage
  • buoy now has consistent speed over all, and descends slower
  • leech now leeches for less time
  • warp projectiles now return to their owner when they take damage
  • entities are now unburied if they normally can't be but were before, such being buried and then going into spectator mode
  • creakings can no longer be buried
  • toggleable passive sound now only plays on client
  • remove multiply charge time enchantment component
  • fix gale doubling fall distance after jumping twice
  • fix charge up animation for tridents and maces being stuttery
  • fix enchanted tridents shot by drowned rendering as items after they die

  • every enchantment is now equally weighted and selectable when enchantment limit is enabled

  • enchanting tables now require chiseled bookshelves nearby with enchanted books in them to access those enchantments in the table
  • enchantments can now be transferred off of enchanted items and onto books using a grindstone
  • chiseled bookshelves now show the item in the slot you're looking at
  • enchanted books now show the items they can be applied to
  • villagers no longer sell enchanted gear
  • librarians now sell specific enchanted books related to the biome they're from
  • enchanted books of a certain type are now guaranteed to spawn in certain structure chests. see the main mod page for info!
  • enchanted books can no longer be applied to tools in an anvil
  • various enchantment actions have been assigned game events
  • randomly generated enchantment loot is now actually (seeded) random and no longer uses a hashing function to replace enchantments deterministically
  • molten particles now disappear faster
  • fix flying horses
  • fix projectiles not bypassing cooldown
