Mod Features/Guide
This mod adds:
- Leather armor has a new simplified tier based trading system
- Thorns IV and V enchantments for chainmail armor only
- Gold armor can now be enchanted with Protection and Fire Protection at the same time
- Iron armor can now stack projectile, blast, and general protection enchantments in all 4 pieces
- Item that allows you to switch between armor sets from anywhere around your world
- Armor trims now come with perks to help you with tasks and progression.
- Elytras can now be crafted into Armored Elytras using metallic materials.
These features overhaul the Minecraft progression system by incentivizing players to use an adventure based play style as opposed to straight forward get diamonds and beat the game. Playing this mod how it was meant to be played gives players the chance to explore all the different structures in Minecraft while simultaneously progressing through the mod/game, meanwhile exploration in vanilla Minecraft tends to halt your progression instead.
Incentivized progression system:
Enter your world with the goal to collect as many armor trims as possible. Throughout your many adventures to different structures trying to find the trims, you will simultaneously progress through the game by collecting resources as well so you can craft, enchant, and trim the Nether Exploration Set(Gold), TANK set(Iron), and Spelunker's Revenge Set(Chainmail). Once you have collected enough trims to maximize your armor sets and do the high tier leatherworker trade 4 times, you will have enough diamonds to craft a full set of diamond gear(armor and tools). After that, you can either go for netherite armor OR directly go beat the Ender Dragon and finish the game. The choice is up to YOU!
Examples of Armor Set Possibilities:
Spoiler
The TANK set will protect you like no other iron armor ever has! Repel explosions and arrows as if they were nothing with this "Brute Class" armor!
Spoiler
The Spelunker's Revenge set will serve you very well when on a mining trip. With the new Thorns V enchantment, you'll make cave mobs regret ever laying a finger on you! The Glow in the Dark perk will save you from ever needing torches as well, so feel free to save your coal for smelting those ores!
Spoiler
The NES(Nether Exploration Set) will allow you to travel through the Nether while being very well protected against it's harsh environment. The Master Barterer perk will show the Piglins your not messing around and their old scamming tricks will no longer work on you, giving you a much better chance at receiving good items while bartering!
Spoiler
The aptly named F.A.F.O set will guarantee you to rise above cannon fodder mobs and make their puny fists crack against your armor! This is the strongest combination you can get in the mod.
How the Perk system works:
Armor Trim Perks (Any Armor Piece)
- Copper Trim: Adds +0.5 armor toughness and +1.0 armor points
- Iron Trim: Adds +1.0 armor toughness and +1.5 armor points
- Diamond Trim: Adds +2.0 armor toughness and +2.0 armor points
- Netherite Trim: Adds +3.0 armor toughness and +3.0 armor points
Helmet-Only Perks
- Master Barterer(Gold Trim): Improves Piglin bartering results, providing better trades with Piglins
- Rich Man(Emerald Trim): Grants Hero of the Village effect, improving trades with villagers
- Glow in the Dark(Redstone Trim): Provides dynamic lighting around the player in dark areas
- Bookworm(Lapis Trim): Lowers level requirements in enchanting tables
- Zoom(Amethyst Trim): Allows you to use the zoom feature without needing a spyglass in your inventory
- Experienced Survivor(Quartz Trim): Increases your XP Gain speed from 1.0 to 3.0(200%)
This system adds strategic value to armor trims beyond aesthetics, allowing players to choose trims based on their playstyle and current needs. This adds a whole new layer to progression as well, end game now has an actual progression stage to get the F.A.F.O set and officially have the strongest possible armor in the game. For modpacks, it is helpful for more difficult structures and bosses you'll face without even needing to use modded armor, in fact, you'll find the F.A.F.O set surpasses most modded armor sets.
How the leather trading tier system works:
🏆 NEW THREE-TIER SYSTEM
Tier 1 (Highest) - 1 Diamond Block
Requirements: Wearing full dyed + trimmed leather armor set (all 4 pieces) Method: Wear full set → Empty hand → Shift+right-click villager Consumed: Entire equipped armor set Reward: 1 diamond block

Requirements: Single dyed + trimmed leather armor piece Method: Hold piece → Shift+right-click villager Consumed: 1 piece Reward: 1 emerald block
Tier 3 (Base) - 5 Emeralds

Spoiler
And now introducing a new item... the PAI!!!
Spoiler
!
The Portable Armor Incubator is a new item you can get from trading 1 emerald block with an armorer villager. Simply walk up to the armorer with an emerald block in hand, shift + right-click him with it and boom, the PAI is in your possesion!
As the name suggests, this allows you to store all your different armor sets in one portable item so that you can switch from set to set in just a few clicks from anywhere around your world.
Armored Elytras:
Spoiler
You can now craft armored elytra variants by placing an elytra in the center of a crafting table and surrounding it by 1 of four materials: Copper Ingot, Iron Ingot, Diamond or Netherite SCRAPS. These variants will match their respective material's chestplate armor, no need to constantly switch your elytra for chestplates now! Elytra's are also now enchantable with Protection I-IV as well!
|Incompatibilities| Basically compatible with anything but any mod that contradicts any feature or that overhauls the same feature is incompatible. Example of this: Easy Magic mod is incompatible with the Bookworm(Lapis Lazuli) Armor Trim Perk because it changes the behavior/functionality of the enchanting table. YOU CAN STILL PLAY THE MOD, but you will miss out on that feature.
This mod is now complete with an overhauled progression system for Minecraft. Enjoy :)
