A mod for stylizing your name on multiplayer servers.

A partial rewrite of Rift Realms Utility for 1.21.1 and onward

Features

Most commands (nicks, colors and formattings(use add instead of set)) use the set and clear subcommands.

Nick names

Nick names that replace your username in tab, chat and above your head. Use /nickname

Name colors

Colors for your name that also support hexadecimal codes unlike the normal formattings. Use /colorname

Formattings

Formattings can be used to add basic colors and text styles (bold, italic, strikethrough, underline) to your name. You can add as many formatting as you want, but with non-compatible ones the game will only choose one. Colors added with /colorname override color formattings. Use /formatname

Tags

Tags are displayed before a player's name. They use the style of a player's name (formattings and colors), or their own style. Use /playertag

There are four subcommands for the /playertag command:

  • /playertag clear - Clears your tag
  • /playertag set text <Text Component> or <Tag string (quoted if containing spaces)> - Sets your tag's text
  • /playertag set style <Text Style JSON> - Sets your tag's style
  • /playertag unstyle - Removes the style from your tag

Versions prior to 0.6.0 use the following subcommands:

  • /playertag clear - Clears your tag
  • /playertag set stringy <tag string> - Sets your tag to a stringy one
  • /playertag set text <JSON text component> - Sets your tag to a JSON text based one
  • /playertag unstyle - Transform your JSON tag to a stringy tag keeping the contents
