Welcome to the Stop Mob Spawn: Hostile Only mod, this mod aims to remove all of the hostile vanilla mobs from the game, this mod only effects the vanilla mobs and will not effect the spawning of any modded entities that you have in your world.
Who is this mod for:
This mod was specifically made for players who are running multiple mods at once and want a more immersive experience, or mod pack designers who need to remove vanilla mobs from the game. If you are tired of having creepers spawn in your zombie apocalypse mod pack, or don't want to deal with Enderman in a medieval mod pack, and want an easy solution that doesn't require custom configurations then this mod is for you.
How the mod works:
The Mod works by canceling the spawning for most of the mobs within Minecraft using the individual mob name, this is what allows for modded entities to work just fine, and also allows the mod to avoid interfering with entities such as falling blocks, fireworks, boats, TNT, etc. There are three exemptions to the cancel though, firstly you have Illagers, who are despawned after one tick in order to avoid raids soft locking themselves and breaking your villages, the Wither Storm is automatically beaten allowing for you to get the nether star, and the Ender Dragon gets blown up automatically to ensure that you don't soft lock yourself inside of the End dimension by accident, and all of this is being done without massively impacting the frames per second for your game, ensuring both efficiency, and optimization.
FAQ
Q: Can the Illager tick be removed? A: No, as that will make the raid soft lock.
Q: Does this mod effect structures? A: No, in order to disable the structures Minecraft has an option in the world creation settings for that already.
Q: Can I use this mod in my mod pack?A: of course, all I ask is that you credit me and link back to this mod.Q: Why not just use peaceful? A: Because that will disable all hostile mobs, not just vanilla mobs.
Q: Are there any incompatibilities with this mod? A: Possibly, with other mods that disable mob spawning, however there should not be any other incompatibilities.
