RC 2.9.0 (Fabric 1.20.1)

Changelog

Re-Console 2.9.0

This is a polishing update on top of 2.8.0. A huge amount of performance improvements, and up to 6x performance on select Nvidia-based systems!

Added Moonrise

An innovative optimization mod which ports a lot of PaperMC's valuable performance improvements to fabric. This fixes the performance issue seen in 1.21.8 on 2.8.0, speeds up world gen speed, and results in a much more stable gameplay experience. This very well can result in a 2x performance uplift.

Added, Alpha-style, Beta-style resource albums

Some more LCE-style packs for everyone to use. Special Thanks to NicSonic

Debloated the modpack

  • Removed Cloth Config API
  • Removed Ears (figura and CPM should give enough customizability)
  • Removed Fabric Language Kotlin
  • Removed MixinTrace
  • Removed ModelGapFix (in l4j now)
  • Removed No Chat Reports
  • Removed Sodium Extra (like 0.1% of users will use it)

Enabled Dynamic Lighting and Better Grass by default

This can be changed in the mod menu

Enabled Connected Textures by default

This can be changed via global resource packs

Fixed Animated, Dark Mode, Halloween, Greek Mythology and Chinese Mythology albums (1.21.8)

Due to name changes in these resource packs, the assorts were broken. This has now been fixed!

Fixed BetterGrassify config on 1.21.8

Fixed as in to use the new format, as it is now enabled by default

Fixed Skin Packs not being applied by default

Includes the Ocelots and Default Skin Packs.

Moved <=1.21.5 to Long Term Support (LTS)

These versions will no longer recieve any content, config, or any major changes. They will recieve minimal mod support, but still release on time with the other releases. They have had no more content updates since commit dc993a4a375035f4ac1eb32c8585cbbf2544ff5e

Removed VMP and OptiGUI

Both don't work well with Legacy4J.

Removed C2ME and ScalableLux (1.21.8)

Replaced with Moonrise

Removed MouseTweaks

Despite the mod being great, it has conflicts with Legacy4J.

Re-added Ore4J

It was fixed to work on 1.21.8.

Re-added Nvidium

A beta port, so expect issues. Only benefits Nvidia GPU's that are newer or equal to the 16xx series.

Replaced Language Reload with Lazy Language Loader

Saves some file size.

Replaced FabriShot with RenderScale

GUI artifacting seems to have been fixed.

Split from Additive

Since 0.5.0, Re-Console has been based off, and kept in sync with my friend, devin's modpack, Additive. However, due to devin being busy with many things, the packs have been sort of slow to move. We are deciding to split away from the packs for this reason, and work on performance ourselves. This comes due to numerous decisions other than the packs being slower to move and update, but also due to compatibility issues experienced by Legacy4J and some of Additive's settings. This just makes our job easier without having to fix every time Additive updates. devin has been a huge help to me in the past, even maintaining Re-Console for a bit from 0.5.0-0.5.7, and this project wouldnt have survived without his help.

Updated to Fabric Loader 0.17.2

Updated to latest fabric loader.

Updated options.txt (1.21.8)

Represented to more accurately look like Xbox 360 edition for performance. This is namely capping render distance to 10, rather than 18 by default.

Updated Lithium config (1.21.8)

- mixin.minimal_nonvanilla=false - mixin.experimental=true

Updated L4J config (To utilize info from the Accuracy Guide)

  • HUD Load Delay set to 200%
  • Line Spacing set to 100%
  • Unfocused Height set to 180px
