these block models use strange methods of rendering that lower the face count, and thus, should theoretically make them more optimized. however, my tests for whether they're actually better are inconclusive. these strange methods are: taking advantage of transparency, combining textures, and inverted elements.
additionally, there are block models included that I've taken from bug reports filed by "muzikbike" on mojira. these ones are normal and should actually make the game better. search "unoptimized" on the bug tracker to find the relevant bug reports.
due to the inconclusiveness, I wouldn't necessarily call this an "optimization" pack. I'm simply uploading it for people to try it out. use at your own risk!
you know where to find me if you wish to yell at me about this pack.
