Long Distance Signage
Long distance signage is a pack that simply makes signs render at greater distances than vanilla 64 blocks. This is done by giving signs a block model, which can render much further away than the normal entity model
This pack adds ambient occlusion to hanging signs, as I think this looks a bit nicer than the flat shading they have in vanilla. Additionally, it fixes issues with translucent fonts on signs not rendering properly (the one in the screenshots is vanilla tweaks 'anti alias font'
Compatibility
- This pack should work seamlessly with any other pack that changes sign textures
- hanging sign chains may look a bit broken depending on the pack, this is unfixable in vanilla unfortunately
- The pack will work in vanilla minecraft, sodium, iris, optifine, whatever 1.21.4 or above!
- Modded signs are not affected by this pack, they will simply vanish > 64 blocks away as if the pack wasn't enabled.
- If you know what you're doing however, you can use the python script in the github repo to automatically generate most of the necessary files for other signs.

Can you support other blocks?
Yes, in the future I would like to update this pack to support more blocks such as beds, shulker boxes, etc. For now though it only works with signs
Will this pack affect performance?
This pack does not boost performance, as the entity model still exists and is rendered (for hanging signs its invisible). It shouldn't be much worse than vanilla though
